The field is vast and constantly evolving, 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡-𝐮𝐩:

⏩ GenAI, the latest table format, the newest ingestion tool

⏩ Programming languages: SQL, Python, R, Scala

⏩ BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik

⏩ Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP

One method that I use, is to keep learning. And a method I like to use to keep learning is by writing about insights gained and sharing those with the world (… or rather, with the 3 people who actually see my post).

This serves multiple purposes:

⏩ It forces me to research something thoroughly, because I am not going to share something with the world that might be wrong (although that inevitably happens now and then).

⏩ Hopefully I get to help some people by sharing knowledge.

⏩ Sharing helps boost motivation to learn. Don’t get me wrong, I like learning, which is a goal upon itself for me. However, when I can add an additional goal of sharing my insights with other people.
